For CONUS moves the government typically reimburses mileage for driving your own vehicle but does not ship a second POV for you. That is where most of our military customers come in: shipping the second car (or the only car, if you're flying) so the family travels together. Keep your receipt; some commands allow partial reimbursement under certain entitlements, and your transportation office can confirm.
Commercial car haulers generally cannot enter an installation. For pickup or delivery on base, the service member or a designated person meets the driver at the visitor gate or at a nearby off-base location, which the driver will arrange by phone. Off-base housing, storage facilities, and a family member's home are all straightforward.
Deploying and need the car moved to a parent's house or into storage? We ship to any address and can coordinate with a storage facility's business hours. A spouse or designated person over 18 can hand over and receive the vehicle with a copy of your orders or a simple written authorization.
Orders change. If your report date moves up, call us: expedited pickup within 24 to 48 hours is available on most lanes from New Jersey, and the military discount still applies.
