Expedited

When you need the car moved on a specific day

Standard auto transport gives carriers a window of a few days to pick up, which is how they build full, efficient loads and how you get the best price. Expedited shipping flips the priority: your date comes first. Your shipment goes to the front of the dispatch queue, is offered to carriers at a premium rate, and is assigned to the first qualified truck that can commit to your window, usually 24 to 48 hours. Transit time is often shorter too, since the carrier has fewer stops to make.

Common reasons to expedite

  • A home closing or lease end with a hard move-out date
  • A flight already booked; you need the car gone before you leave
  • A new job start date in another state
  • A vehicle purchase with a dealer deadline
  • A college move-in date
  • A snowbird departure with a non-refundable rental or flight
  • A car stranded after a breakdown or accident out of state

How much more it costs

Expedited service typically adds $200 to $500 to a standard quote depending on the lane and the time of year, more during peak snowbird season or on routes with few carriers. The quote tool shows the expedited price when you select "As soon as possible" and a date within 48 hours; your dispatcher will confirm availability before you commit.

What is guaranteed

The pickup window is the guarantee: we commit to a carrier arriving within the agreed window or your expedite fee is refunded. Transit time, once the vehicle is on the truck, is an estimate; weather, traffic, and other stops can affect it, though expedited loads generally move faster because there are fewer of those stops.

Same-day pickup

Same-day pickup is possible from our Woodbridge, Edison, Paterson, Bayonne, and Cherry Hill service areas, where carriers are constantly passing through on the Turnpike, the Parkway, I-80, and I-295. Call the nearest office before noon for the best chance of a same-day truck.

Tip: If your date is firm but still a week or more away, you may not need expedited service. Tell your dispatcher the date; standard service with early booking often hits it.
FAQ

Expedited Car Shipping questions

How fast can you pick up?

Within 24 to 48 hours of booking on most New Jersey lanes, and same-day from the Turnpike and Parkway corridor when you call before noon.

Is expedited the same as enclosed?

No. Expedited refers to speed; enclosed refers to the trailer type. You can combine them, though enclosed carriers are fewer, so expedited enclosed may cost more.

What if the carrier misses the window?

Your expedite fee is refunded and the shipment continues at the standard rate. This is rare.

Does expedited mean faster delivery too?

Usually. Expedited loads are placed on trucks with fewer stops, so transit is often one to two days shorter than standard, but transit time is not guaranteed.
